THE SNEAKING SNAKE

Viper, that limbless organ
So venomous, biting above the ankles
His biggest trouble, he’s failed to tame
‘Am saved’, though is his daily slogan
He’s red-eyed over the innocent chicks, he uncles
As the serpent coils in the confines of its zip
Luring the chicks hatched in his eyes
As they seek insatiable worldly pleasures
Blindly they follow the light from his generous tip
The serpent uncoils, scavenging the chick alive
This viper has walked the earth for five decades
Though can’t lull a chick, but its innocence puts to an end
With the single blind eye, he stands up on mission
Strangling the chick as it meanders while in occasion
The venom infects the chicks swelling their bellies
Torturing their conscience so is their mothers’
His pay comes in handy to clean the seed prematurely
Though his guilty will last eternally
On a high social circle, a privilege over the victims
Its hate in their hearts, but a smile on their face
To kill the serpent we’ve got the stick, but who’ll make the hit?
We might not win this race, but must present the case
Must end the feasting of these chicks by untamed serpents
Their innocence is stolen, their potent brutally taken.
