The Looong Rains

The skies have cried far too long
The ground soaking in tears isn't strong
Mud sliding, dams breaking, lives ended
Causes probed, reports hidden, poverty extended
Same soggy ground soon will harden
Our throats too will be cracks ridden

The fields are green, granaries will burst
Leaders on pedestals look with lust
Big bellies won't be filled with masks
It's your sweat that got that task
Plough, plant a tree for a son under sun
Plant two, for the rich and your son

'Who stole the maize?', kenyan riddle
This crop of leader's to be gotten rid of
They never suckles, but noisily gulp
The horizon shines a glimmer of hope
Stealing for your son from what's mine
God, don't let after the rain be famine

MY MORTAL CLOCK

Like a storm in the night
With deadly thunder and light
Strikes a helpless tree to oblivion
So is my clock shuttered into a dungeon

Like a dry leaf stepped on
Twigs shredded, my ribs gone
This mortal clock chiming to a loud silence
Soon my name on this earth will be `absence`

Like a lamp high on a tower
Lighting a town till the silent wee hour
So was this clock, now filament has tasted air
Storm broke glass, now the lamp`s a snare

Like a fruit thriving in the wild
Struggling through thorns but still yield
This heart will soon chime to its full
The storm will clear and sky will be blue

REVAMPING KENYA

Wake up! Wake up! Come with me
Wash your face, come on, we’re free
Do you see what I see? Let’s laugh without caution
It’s a revamp, a revamp of our nation

We don’t need machetes, or guns
We’ll use a votes, its great fun
Who fights anymore, who? lemmi know
With my vote, I know where I’d go
I’d revamp, revamp my dear country

My vote will be your roof, bed and meal
My vote will pay rent, and go where you feel
Not all; my vote will heal and seal our land
My vote is all I count on, lend me your hand
Help me revamp, revamp this darling country

For who can resist the tune of peace?
Do a jig and dance just a little piece
It’s an ambiance that puts me at ease
It’s your vote, give to whom you please
You’re responsible to revamp, and give the flag a kiss

When we’re done with the noble exercise
We run home and watch the side the dice will turn
If my side loses, I swear from Peace wont shun
I’ll need my brother for this wheel to turn
The wheel to revamp, revamp my Dear nation, MKENYA DAIMA!!!

HAPPY DAY SAD

My happy day was sad

My day ended without a word

My day with her was happy, no, sad

My happiness was in her every word

Thus my happy day was sad

My happy day was sad

First we whispered of the times we had

She agreed t`was fun since she was mine

She had made my days back in zero nine

Today, she ate with me, I should be happy

In her brown winter hat a baby already

Her smiles, jokes who`ll bring me the heydays?

Her stories, no worries, Thanks she`s happy

Thanks she got the face no make-up can apply

She made my happy day sad, oh Dad am sad

My happy day was sad

Reason, she want far from me to run

Leave back a shadow, with her goes the sun

Though I`m a man, tears couldn’t help but hang

Club Idyllic, all day we`d hang

A fun garden though didn’t find the fun.

She`ll trust no man, yeah! I`m also man

Be friends, yeah! Laugh and have fun

Plans to be mine, again, she got none

She runs my wish list, my sun from the East

She rises and my happy day I’ll be sad.

A Wilting Flower

Age`s nothing but some values
I like the look got in you
The ripe smile that matures with the sun
A gait that leaves the parrot me dump
Wonder why u just can’t get a man

You smell flowers for hours the path is you
I can feel you miles and I’m never wrong
Heart skips a beat in your thought since that long
Now I wonder which beat dares you to the floor
Am bound to play it all night for you at your door

I wish am that purse that`s in your palm
Stuff me with your worries, stories and memories
Inside me will zip, no one will know what we through
Which other heaven on earth but that bed that`s warm
Which verb better defines beauty but you?

I have said my heart, though I know u may take long
As girls’ Terms and condition don’t allow to hop
My nights toil to bring a light to make a day
My mind hurts making notes for a meeting in my bedroom
Take the entire time girl, but don’t make me wait.

SEASONS OF A SHE-MAN

A season to be moody
A season of sweetness as goodies
A season of a ponytail
A season of braids and plaits

A season when body is scented with roses
A season of dampness, stinky as fish
A season of welcoming and hospitality
A season to ignore, judge and accuse

A season of wetness as Dawn dew
A season of dryness, matoke short of stew
A season of twinkleness, brightness and ebullience
A season as dull as a moonless night

A season to pumper and give cover
A season of blunders and act undercover
A season of niceties, ‘baby, my Lover’
A season of hate, rage, hates even her father

We live with seasons hard forecasting
Need learn a remedy that suits all castings
Though a times it’s a world we feel leaving without
They’re a world where beautiful memories are made
